While I have been working on the music this past week, with six songs currently done for the final album, I have also been updating earlier albums. Omen of the Ancient is receiving four new songs as well as some updates to old tracks, such as "Through the Looking Glass". Also on the second album, I am updating "Timeless Crystal" with a new chorus and voice. The old version of this song will be available once "The Forgotten" album is launched, essentially containing all of the good alternate versions of the tracks. There will still be a small adjustment to the end of the original track as there was a blip of noise distortion near the end of the song that I am still attempting to fix.

The reason for the complete replacement is simple. The original song, along with "Static Nightmare", utilized elements (if not direct verses) from a song I never released for Omen of the Ancient, titled "A Fractured Mind". However, I decided to push this song through because of how good it ultimately came out. "Static Nightmare" will remain the same, however. One of the other new songs is "Secrets in the Dark", which covers the first appearance of Helskor in the story, acting as an important source of context for any listeners who have not read the book. The next song I am working on shows Rhinesvelt's first appearance, and after that will be the first (written) battle between Helskor and Rhinesvelt, though this track will likely be tricky to pull off correctly. The updates to the album, including an updated lyric booklet, should be done in a week or two.
